Web 3 has a leadership problem. We need to fix it, and the best way to do that is together.
Web 3 has grown fast which has led to big money, huge growth and not a lot of time for companies and founders to catch up in terms of their own development.
Not just how to run a business and make money, but how to hire the right people and lead them to success.
In fact, we haven’t stopped and fully understood what our leaders need. But one thing is for sure, a support network for the entire industry, one that’s accessible for all is definitely top of the list.
👉Founders getting investments before they’ve had time to get the support they need, seeing them mismanage funds, hire people just like them and create echo chambers that ultimately fail ( remind you of anyone?)
👉 Projects building businesses around tokens with zero value, hiring amazing teams and running them into the ground to keep their token price up
👉 Dysfunctional projects and businesses, with no proper hold on HR, operations or financial planning, zero transparency and communications, micro-managing founders, and the worst, zero compassion or trust are just ‘normal’ in our industry.
It’s stopping incredible talents not just coming over to Web 3 but sticking and helping us build. Many people have told me the burnout culture of Web 3 just isn’t worth it.
It’s a huge shame, but the good news is, we are about to make a HUGE change.
Web 3 Leadership Day will be on June 1st 2023. But, it won’t just be a one day event, let’s make it a week of panels, talks, online events and workshops starting Monday 29th May.
